About
This website is dedicated to disseminating data on EU Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicators for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Maintained by the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHAS). This platform aligns national statistical tracking with European Union standards and Eurostat methodologies.
Bosnia and Herzegovina’s journey toward sustainable development is intrinsically linked with its European Union integration path. Following the adoption of “The SDGs Framework in Bosnia and Herzegovina” by the Council of Ministers of BiH in April 2021, the country established a shared strategic baseline aligning national policy planning across all administrative levels with both Agenda 2030 and EU accession priorities.
While the global UN SDG indicators monitor worldwide progress under the UN framework, the EU SDG indicator set focuses on monitoring progress within the context of EU policies, targets, and socio-economic frameworks (such as the European Green Deal and the European Pillar of Social Rights). Tracking these specific metrics allows decision-makers, researchers, and citizens to assess Bosnia and Herzegovina’s progress toward sustainable development targets through a comparative European lens.
This platform provides transparent, reliable, and standardised tables and charts to support evidence-based policymaking, foster cross-sectoral collaboration, and accelerate Bosnia and Herzegovina’s alignment with EU statistical and socio-economic benchmarks.
