The indicator measures the share of the labour force in Bosnia and Herzegovina aged 15 to 74 who are unemployed for 12 months or more. The labour force comprises employed and unemployed persons. Unemployed persons are defined as persons aged 15 to 74 who were without work during the reference week, were available to start work within the following two weeks, and had either actively sought work during the previous four weeks or had already found a job to start within the following three months. The duration of unemployment is defined as the duration of job search or, if shorter, the time elapsed since the last employment. The definitions and methodological approach are aligned with the methodology of the European Union and the standards of the International Labour Organization. |
